Phyllis Schottenstein Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Epstein Memorial Chapel - Columbus on Dec. 19, 2022.
Phyllis Schottenstein, age 90, died on December 19, 2022. Predeceased by her parents, Meyer and Libbie (Silverman) Schottenstein; brothers, Leonard, Bernard, Irving, and sister Rosalie. She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Cohen, Elaine Karr and Miriam (Bernard) Yenkin; brother, Morris (Elizabeth) Schottenstein; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Phyllis lived a full life on an independent course that she set for herself. A loving aunt, she stayed personally engaged with her many nieces and nephews and their children. Particularly memorable for many were the visits with "Aunt Phyllis" on their trips to the Washington DC area where she lived. She pursued her profession as a school psychologist with dedication, in later years also being frequently called upon as an expert witness. She traveled widely, with many trips to Europe and Israel, both for professional conferences, and just to explore. Aunt Phyllis never missed being there for a family event wherever it was happening! She will be deeply missed by a family who will have many good memories to cherish. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, December 20th at New Agudas Achim Cemetery, 2565 Performance Way.
