Beverley Schottenstein, 97, passed away on October 19, 2023. Preceded in death by her husband and Columbus retail pioneer Alvin Schottenstein, her parents Samuel and Rebecca Freedberg, and her brothers George, Melvin, and Stanley Freedberg. She is survived by her daughter Randee Schottenstein and sons Charles Schottenstein, Robert Schottenstein, and Gary Schottenstein; grandchildren Samuel Schottenstein, Isaac Schottenstein, Evan Schottenstein, Cathryn Schottenstein Pattap, Melinda Schottenstein, Allison Schottenstein, Avi Schottenstein, and Alexis Schottenstein; as well as six great-grandchildren and her beloved caregiver Dawn Henry. Beverley was a loving mother and grandmother, an active volunteer, a philanthropist, a strong supporter of Israel, and a vocal advocate for peace and justice. Chapel service will be held on Monday, October 23 at 11am at Epstein Memorial Chapel (3232 East Main Street, Columbus) followed by graveside interment at New Agudas Achim Cemetery (2565 Performance Way, Columbus). Shiva will be observed at Beth Jacob Synagogue (1223 College Avenue, Columbus) on Monday following graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverley's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
