Phyllis Shapiro Obituary

Phyllis was born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts and Newport, Rhode Island, before raising her family in the Somerville/Bridgewater area. She later retired to Coconut Creek, Florida. Phyllis owned several consignment shops and was a real estate agent. She was very active in the JCC in Bridgewater. In her spare time, she enjoyed pottery, jewelry making, reading, traveling, baking, painting, playing bridge and spending time with friends and family. She will be sadly missed by all.
She is predeceased by her sister Marsha Jagolinzer and former husband Herbert Shapiro.
Surviving are her children Dana Shapiro, Marc (Didi) Shapiro and Jeffrey (Debra) Shapiro, brother Robert Gold, grandchildren Kyle, Jared, Ben and Sarah.
Burial services were held privately. Shiva will be held 2-4pm and 6-8pm Monday at 57 Totten Drive, Bridgewater. Arrangements by Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, Somerville.
