March 5, 1935 - May 3, 2025
Phyllis Ann Wickham, 90, of Haubstadt, Indiana, passed away amidst the prayers and love of her family on May 3, 2025. She was born in Marion, Indiana March 5, 1935 to James Orville and Luberta Ann (Harris) Meredith, who both have preceded her in death.
Phyllis married Phillip Lee Wickham on November 27,1955. She is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Lee Wickham and her brother, Jimmy Meredith. Phyllis graduated from Marion Senior High School in 1953. Her careers included working at the counter of Woolworths, a switchboard operator at Indiana Bell Telephone, a teachers' aid and library clerk at JC Knight Junior High in Jonesboro, IN, and a teller with Farmer's National Bank/ Fifth Third Bank in Princeton, Indiana.
Phyllis lived a full and joyful life. She was the proud mother of three sons, who she loved dearly. She found the most joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing euchre and bingo, and creating beautiful quilts.
Phyllis is survived by her three sons, Michael P. (Beverly) Wickham, Robert L. (Beth) Wickham, and Jeffrey D. (Julie) Wickham; grandchildren, Aubrie, Chelsie, Ryan (Samantha), Sarah, Sam Wickham, and Alyssa (Tyler) Hatton; great-grandchildren, Kota Patrick Thompson, Wickham James Hatton, Phillip Lane Wickham, Gwendolyn Mae Hatton, Evalynn Ann Wickham, and John Calloway Wickham.
A graveside service will be performed at Grant Memorial Park 1606 W. 26th St, Marion, IN 46953 on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Ryan Budde will be officiating.
Memorial contributions may be directed to: Gibson County Council on Aging 212 S. Richland Creek Dr., Princeton, IN 47670.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
