Phyllis M. Wilcox, of Cedar Rapids, died July 10, 2025, at the Northbrook Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Cedar Rapids.
Phyllis was born April 17,1931 in Bucklin, Missouri to Roy and Pearl King. She married Charles E Wilcox on March 15,1949 in Marengo, Iowa. A lifelong Cedar Rapids resident, her passion was her family, friends and watching her grandchildren play sports. She and husband Charles enjoyed riding the Kings and Queens bus to play slots at the casino. Phyllis loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Wednesday nights at Carlos O'Kellys.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Wilcox, parents Roy and Pearl King, son Richard Wilcox, and daughter Janice Skeffington and grandson Jason Wilcox.
Survivors include her children Connie (Stephen) Baird of Tampa, Florida, Ronnie (Janeen) Wilcox of Palo, IA, son-in-law Bill Skeffington of Phoenix AZ and five grandchildren, Sylvan (Valerie) Rechterman, Stephanie (Emmerson) Catlyn, Alison (Robert) Williams, Megan (Ryan) Hagenow, Lindsey (Chris) Peck; eight great grandchildren, Wyatt and Eli Williams, Sawyer, Skyler, and Sylas Hagenow, Cooper and Campbell Peck and Mia Hutson; and niece Gayla Rae (George) Duncan of Meadville, MO. In addition, several dearly loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation Monday, July 14, 2025, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Suncrest Hospice.
