BRUNSWICK – Pierrette E. Fernandes, 87, of Brunswick, died Saturday, March 25th, 2023, at Schooner Estates in Auburn with loved ones by her side.
Born in Saint-Jacques, NB, Canada, on January 10, 1936, the daughter of the late Denis and Delinas (St.Onge) Albert. She made her home in Edmundston, N-B, Canada.
She moved to Lewiston, Maine in 1969 and enjoyed a career in administrative retail. In 1979, she relocated to Brunswick, Maine where she had resided for the past 43 years.
She was predeceased by her husband CPO Joseph Fernandes (Ret.) and a son, Guy.
Pierrette is survived by her son, Gilles Soucy of Winthrop, her daughter Claire Soucy-Adams of Arlington TX, sister, Gloria Thibodeaux of Deerfield Beach, Florida, a daughter-in law, Pamela Soucy, 3 granddaughters, Genevieve Soucy, Crystal Blais, Amy Blais, a grandson, Trevor Soucy, and 8 great grandchildren, Kaitlynne, Makenzie, Trevon, Tiana, Tyrell, Gabriella, Chloe, and Kai, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held from 1-3pm followed by a funeral service at 3pm at Stetson's Funeral Home, 12 Federal Street, Brunswick. A private burial will be held beside her husband at a later date.
