Prade Jackson Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Prade Jerry Jackson, who left us on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026.
Born April 17, 1955, Prade lived a life marked by service, dedication and an unwavering love for his family and country.
Prade attended Seneca Valley High School. At just 17, Prade enlisted in the U.S. Navy, proudly serving as a member of the Navy Seabees - the esteemed Naval Construction Force (NCF). His commitment and hard work were evident throughout his service until his honorable discharge in 1975. Continuing his devotion to his country, he joined the National Guard, serving honorably from 1976 to 1978.
After his military service, Prade applied his skills and strong work ethic to a career at Mine Safety, where he worked from 1976 to 1988. A masterful stone mason, his craftsmanship can be seen in numerous structures that stand as a testament to his talent and dedication. Later, he brought his compassionate spirit to St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars, from 2014 to 2020, where he touched the lives of many with his kindness and professionalism.
Prade was a life member and commander of Post 499 VFW.
For 24 cherished years, Prade shared his life with his devoted companion, Paula (Moore) Donnel. Together, they shared a loving family that was the center of his world. He is survived by his children, Beth Mahan, 53; Nicolette Croyle, 45; Kyle Jackson, 37; Ashly Beichnerl, 36; and stepson, Dr. Stephen Donnel, 37.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Erin Turner-Schaefer, whom he held dearly in his heart.
Prade's legacy lives on through his 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Devonne Turner-Schaefer, Malik Turner-Schaefer, Ariana Turner-Schaefer, Emmalee Mahan, Lillian Mahan, Jerry Mahan, Meiah Croyle, Maura Croyle, Amari Gustafson, EverLeigh Almendariz, and Linnea Turner-Schaefer. Each grandchild and his great-granddaughter were a source of immense pride and joy for him.
He is also survived by his two brothers, Craig Jackson and Eric Jackson, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his stories, laughter and the warmth he brought to every family gathering.
Prade was also preceded in death by his loving parents, Donald Jackson and Betty Prade Jackson, who undoubtedly greeted him with open arms.
Prade's life was a shining example of dedication - to his country, his work and, above all, to his loving companion, Paula (Moore) Donnel, who had unwavering love and devotion for him. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace.
