Mr. Preston Barnette

Mr. Preston Barnette, age 90, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice in Austell, Georgia.
He was born on August 31, 1935 in Aragon, Georgia to Mr. Herbert Clay Barnette and Mrs. Annie Mae Childers Barnette. He owned a NAPA service repair store. He faithfully served in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Barnette who passed away in July of 2025. He is also preceded by his brother, Dean Barnette and brother, Randy Barnette.
Preston is survived by his sons, Mr. Terry Barnette (Cathy) and Mr. Barry Barnette (Kim); Daughters, Ms. Sheila Benefield and Mrs. Cindy Morris (Terry); Grandchildren, Brandi Barnette, Laura Robinson (Joseph), Cade Shipp (Brittnee), Taylor Adams (Kyle), Ansley Stanton (Chase), Ethan Morris and Felicia Morris; Great Grandchildren, Launa Raines, Scarlett Raines, Anslee Meadows, Logan Pursley, Kendall Stanton, Silas Stanton, Easton Morris, Rylee Adams; sister, Joyce Cagle; sister, Wanda Gentry (Gilbert); sister, Sybil Roberson; brother, Clyde Barnette (Melinda); other extended family and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Preston Barnette will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 2 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 12 P.M. until 2 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
