Priscilla Cardenas of Rocky ford passed away on May 4, 2025 at the age of 73 at her home. Priscilla was born in Rocky ford to Tim and Helen Gonzales. She graduated from Rocky ford High School class of 1970. Afterwards she attended University of Sothern Colorado. She worked for Rocky Mountain Ser with the migrants helping them and taking care of things that they needed. After that she went to work for Jefferson Elementary as the secretary then later on to Rocky Ford High School as the computer teacher.
Priscilla loved her family. She was a single mother and raised 2 children being the best mother and father she could for both of them. When she became a grandmother she went to all the school and sporting events and you could always hear her yelling on her support for them. She was a great cook and the family loved to visit and eat all of her wonderful food. Priscilla also loved her Broncos. She would call and keep everyone up to date on how they were doing. Her neighbors could hear her cheering them on or yelling her frustrations. She liked everyone she met and knew a lot of people. She made sure when she left the house she was always very presentable and always looking great. Priscilla also loved Harley Davidsons and riding her motorcycle.
Priscilla is survived by her 2 children: Angela Cortes of Canon City, Albert (Angela Hernandez) Cardenas of Rocky Ford, 7 grandchildren: Brittany (Jeremy) Bethal, Brandon (Toni) Cardenas, Michael Cortes, Ragen Daniels, Timothy Cardenas, Anicka Cardenas, Sophia Cortes, goddaughter: Maria Espinoza, dog: Bagel along with numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leonard Gonzales, Sr.
