Priscilla M. Cunningham

Priscilla M. Cunningham, age 82, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.
She was born on November 15, 1942, in Jacksonville, Florida and was the daughter to the late Arthur W. and Bertha M. (Eaton) Amore.
Priscilla loved her family and getting together with them at holidays. She cherished the times she could watch her grandchildren play ball and ride horses. One of the many things she loved to do was raise money for children's charities such as Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Shriners Hospital, and many more. She was a lifetime member of the lady Auxiliary Post 95. She enjoyed working with all these women to help raise money by having bake sales, auctions, raffles, dinners, and selling candy bars. In this group, she was a Chaplain of VFW Auxiliary 4027 and huge supporter of Amvets Riders 95.
Priscilla had a heart of gold and would go above and beyond to help anyone she could. She had many friends and was loved immensely. She did not know a stranger.
Priscilla is survived by her husband of 40 years, Chuck Cunningham, a son, Herbert (Paula) Sapp, daughters, Phyllis (Chris) Hagan, Cynthia (Ed Oakes) Robinson, Judy Woosley; four step-children, Chris, Tammy, Clayton and Chucky Cunningham; along with eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; step brother and sisters, David Guthrie, Linda Stokes and Cathy Greer.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Preece, son-in-law, Todd Woosley, and step dad, Jesse Guthrie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday. January 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM-12:00 noon at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd. in Mount Vernon. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette, Ohio.
A celebration of her life dinner will follow the burial at 5:00 PM – AMVETS Post 95, 311 S. Mechanic St., Mount Vernon, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, it would be greatly appreciated to donate in her honor to one of these charities: Dolly Parton's Imagination Library or Shriners Hospital Burn Hospital.
