Priscilla Lund Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 19, 2025.
Priscilla Elaine Lund (Holdsworth) May 1, 1950 - August 16, 2025 Priscilla Elaine Lund (Holdsworth), age 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Priscilla was born on May 1, 1950, in New Point, Missouri. She spent the bulk of her childhood across several states, including Missouri, Colorado, and Minnesota, where she graduated from Brainerd High School in 1968. Following high school, Priscilla attended Minnesota Bible College and Mankato Tech, where she received her Nursing Assistant certification. She worked as a nurse's aide at Rice Memorial in Willmar and Fairmont Community Hospital. It was there where she met her husband Gary as she cared for him following an eye injury. Gary and Priscilla were united in marriage on November 4, 1972 in Fairmont, MN. They would eventually settle in Ramsey, MN in 1980, where they raised their three children. In addition to being the family glue, Priscilla owned her own cleaning business for a time and worked in retail sales until retirement. Upon retirement, she and Gary enjoyed winters in Fort Myers and Panama City Beach until Gary's passing in 2021. She was a woman of many talents, hobbies, and passions. A talented singer and artist, she gave pretend concerts to the neighborhood children as a young girl and loved sketching in her sketchbook. While Priscilla was also gifted athletically, she grew up in a time when opportunities for girls were limited. As a mother and grandmother, she utilized these gifts in a variety of ways, including volunteering for the Ramsey Youth Athletic Association. She was a scorekeeper, coach, fundraiser, and 'team mom' for several of her children's sports teams. Wherever there was a need, Priscilla was there. As a grandmother, she could be found at the ballfields, hockey arenas, gymnastics gyms, and basketball courts of her beloved grandchildren. She loved watching them grow and thrive, and her greatest joy was her family and watching all of their achievements. Priscilla found great joy in outdoor activities. She had fond memories of exploring the mountains of Colorado and spending her summers at church camp as a child. As an adult, she lovingly tended to her landscaping, growing beautiful flowers and bountiful vegetable gardens. Priscilla also enjoyed fishing at local lakes and sitting on her deck watching the wildlife that would frequent her yard. Priscilla was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Gary, and her parents Carl and Pearl Irene Holdsworth. She is survived by her beloved children Katherine (Trent) Engebretson, Steven (Kathryn) Lund, and Christine Lund; cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Andrew, and Emma. She is also survived by her siblings Rosemary Troedson, David (Lorraine) Holdsworth, and Mark (Mary Jo) Holdsworth, her sister-in-law Susan (Jeff) Naumann, as well as nieces and nephews. She leaves a legacy of love and kindness and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 10:00am, followed by funeral services at 11:00am at Andover Christian Church, 16045 Nightingale St. NW, Andover, MN 55304. Lunch will be served following the service. Burial will take place at 3:00pm at Champlin City Cemetery, 812 Cartway Rd, Champlin, MN 55316.
