Priscilla Anne Parr was born August 3rd, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She passed away from natural causes on Sunday February 4th, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Priscilla was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, teacher and as well a great friend to those who were lucky enough to call her one. She was a wonderful mother to her two boys Mathew and Mark Parr and loved them more than life. Her true passion was teaching from which she eventually retired after twenty-five years of devoting her life to her career. She taught at St. John Berchmans Cathedral School as well as Broadmoor Middle School. Although she resided in Shreveport for the majority of her life she never abandoned or forgot her Cajun roots, or the Cajun spicy cuisines. Oftentimes on vacation she would be caught on the water crabbing or with a net in her hand. Gardening was a passion she developed in later years and would often sit and enjoy her garden work with a Diet Coke in her hands. Priscilla was a warm-hearted caregiver when it came to animals. She cared for many feral cats and kittens that took refuge in her yard. Where she was happy to leave food and water out. Priscilla was a woman of many talents, some of which were photography, and going to the boats, testing her luck from time to time. She was also a devoted Christian. She lives on through her surviving sister Patsy, sons Mathew and Mark, and three grandchildren Layton, Chase and Maria. Although she now walks the streets of heaven, she will forever live on in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life, honoring Priscilla, will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Savoie's Catering, 2441 East 70th Street, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71105 from 6 PM to 8 PM.
