PRISCILLA PRESTON, 87, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:44 pm, Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at her residence.
She was born to the late Lloyd E. and Alvena E. (nee Primm) Griffin on September 4, 1938 in Reevesville, Illinois.
Priscilla married Byron R. “Barney” Preston on June 1, 1985 at First Baptist Church in Chester; he preceded her in death on November 27, 2015.
She was a homemaker for most of her life, raising her 7 children. She had worked as a secretary for chiropractor and dentist office and was one of the first hostess’ to work at Reid’s Harvest House.
Priscilla was a life time member of First Baptist Church in Chester where she was the secretary for approximately 20 years. She was also a former member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Priscilla enjoyed crocheting and decorating. She was often complimented on her brightly lit Christmas tree, as well as her beautiful flowers. Most of all Priscilla loved spending time with her large family.
