Priscilla Jean Wallace, 85, of Westbrook, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at home surrounded by family. She was born on September 7, 1940, the fifth of ten children, the daughter of Lester Hall and Doris Eames Hall. She was educated in Herman Schools.
She married Robert E. White and moved to New Britain, Connecticut, where they had 2 children, Steven and Coleen.
On February 19, 1972, she married Irving (Wally) Wallace and gained a step-daughter, Laurie.
In high school she played basketball and earned the nick name of "Big Red". She was named Athlete of the Year at Herman High School in 1958.
After marrying Wally, the family moved to Westbrook, Maine, where they lived the remainder of their lives. Priscilla worked for several years at J.E. Gould, then at Flaherty Farms, then for Hallmark Cards at BJ's. Priscilla loved reading and baking, and was famous for her yeast rolls that she made for special occasions. She was also an avid gardener and a member of the Prides Corner Garden Club for several years. She was very active at Prides Corner Congregational Church and was a member of the Choir, a Deacon, and a volunteer for church suppers and fairs. She was very active in the community.
After retirement, her and Wally enjoyed camping trips and traveling with her sister Glenna and brother-in-law Gary, visiting the Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and Florida. They also took their grandchildren on several camping trips to Sebago Lake. She often talked about her trip to Ireland with her friend Jean. She was proud to say that she hiked Mt. Katahdin, and made it to the top of the mountain, being the only one in her group to reach the summit.
Family was the light of her life, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended a lot of their sporting and school events, and was proud of all of them. She played a very big role in all of their lives. She enjoyed walking with her friends, and could often be seen taking walks in the Prides Corner neighborhood with her friend Jean. She also had a special friend in Tom, her neighbor, and would often walk his dog Millie around the neighborhood. Priscilla was a good friend to many, a good listener, and always available to give good advice. You could always count on her for support. We all feel blessed to have had her in our lives. She was a mother and grandmother, but her very special title was that of "GG", of which she was so proud. She will be sorely missed by so many.
Priscilla was pre-deceased by her husband, Irving Wallace, her son Steve White, her brothers Earl, David, Jim, Lester Jr., and George Hall and her sister, Maybelle. She is survived by her daughter, Coleen Cupka and her husband David, her step-daughter Laurie Beal and her husband Randy, her daughter-in-law Muriel White, her sister Glenna Robbins and husband Gary, her sister Syliva Quigley and husband Jim, her sister Johanna (Josie) and her husband. She is also survived by her grandchildren Toby White and his wife Ana Paula, Vanessa White and partner Rick Petaccia, and Nathan Cupka and partner Genna Alhilfi, her great grandchildren Aiden Petaccia, Sebastian White and Gia Petaccia, as well as her best friend, Jean Laconte. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were all very special to her.
A Celebration of Life for Priscilla will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 from 1:00-4:00 at the American Legion Post 62, located at 17 Dunn Street in Westbrook near the park.
