October 7, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Owens, Sr.;
parents, Howard & Molly Alley; son, Jim Owens; brothers, Wade Alley, Donnie
Alley, Rudolph Alley, Buddy Alley; and sisters, Nancy Clowers, Betty Smith, and
Nellie Castelli.
She is survived by her sons, Curtis Owens, Robert Owens
(Delilah), Don Owens, Jr. (Melissa); daughter, Linda Huffman (Joe);
grandchildren, Little Joe Huffman (fiancée, Taylor Griffith), Angela Owens
(boyfriend, Travis Linkous), Brian Phillips (girlfriend, Angel Byrd), Cody
Prior, Steven Owens, Marcus Owens (Raven), Cassi Owens, Morgan Owens, and
Bayleigh Ownes; and great-granddaughter, Harper Huffman.
Purley loved doing puzzles and puzzle books, watching Law
and Order and Matlock, and sitting outside on her swing in the sun and playing
ball with her dog, Rufus.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October
14, 2025, in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Michael Bond
officiating.
