Quentin A. Vorel, 63, of Moreland, formerly of Morris, Illinois, departed this life on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at home with the love of his life, his wife of 36 years, Julia Vorel.
Born August 4, 1960, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, he was a son of the late Robert Vorel and the late Margaret Schuster Vorel. Quentin knew no stranger and that was obvious with the lifelong friendships that he developed. He was still in touch with college friends, his Greenway Automotive Family in Morris, Illinois, and all of the friends and colleagues he met along the way. Quentin was such a light to all of those that were lucky enough to know him and was known to keep you laughing. He will be missed dearly by all of us who love him.
In addition to being a best friend and constant companion to his wife, Julia, he was an amazing father to their son, Zachary Quentin Vorel and daughter-in-law, Katie, but also the absolute best grandpa to Elliott and Hadley. He is also survived by an extraordinary group of siblings and sisters by marriage. Robert (Annie) Vorel, Marilyn (late Larry) Magee, David (late Bonnie) Vorel, Paul (Sue) Vorel, Paula (Bruce) Henderson, and Kristie (Kevin) Feeney. He is loved by a host of nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Quentin Vorel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
