It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Quitman Reagan, a beloved brother, friend, and cherished member of the community, who departed this life on August 27, 2025, in Temple, Texas, at the age of 82. Born on February 26, 1943, in the small town of Lepanto, Arkansas, Quitman led a life filled with laughter, service, and passion.
Quitman dedicated many years of his life to working as an HVAC technician at Lochridge Priest Home Services, where he was known for his skill and dependability. His career was marked not just by his expertise but by his unwavering commitment to helping others. Friends and colleagues knew him as someone who genuinely enjoyed making people laugh, using humor as a way to brighten even the dullest days.
A proud veteran, Quitman served honorably in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964 as a Boiler Technician. His time in the military shaped much of who he was, instilling values of discipline, camaraderie, and service to others. After his military service, he embraced life with a zest for Western novels, which reflected his adventurous spirit and deep appreciation of storytelling.
Though Quitman faced a long battle with illness in his final years, his courage and resilience shone through. His memory will be cherished not only by his surviving family members but also by the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime. He is survived by his beloved brother, Billy Reagan, and his dear sisters, Diane Urbantke of Temple and Deborah Reagan of Belton. In addition to his living siblings, Quitman will be reunited with those who have preceded him in death, including his brothers Bobby, Alan, Ronald, and Terry Lee Reagan, as well as his sisters Linda Mae Simmons and Helen Patricia Reagan.
The legacy of Quitman Reagan will live on through the laughter he spread, the stories he shared, and the love he gave so freely. His graveside service will be held on September 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas, where his family, friends, and loved ones will gather to honor his memory and celebrate a life well-lived. As we remember Quitman, we are reminded of the joy he brought into our lives and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
