Dr. R.B. "Nub" Reynolds Sr.

Funeral service for Dr. R.B. "Nub" Reynolds. Sr., 86, of Springville will be Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Brother Mike Barnett, Chaplain Billy Reynolds and Rev. Mike Drummond officiating. Burial will follow in Gnatville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Dr. Reynolds passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Cavalier Health Care in Trussville. Survivors include his children, Billy Reynolds (Gayla) of Springville, Melissa Tate (Sam) of Jemison, Charlotte Ingram (Mark) of Mississippi, and Tidy Reynolds Hill of Vestavia Hills; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Chris Wiggins, Will Lackey, Shawn Lackey, Colby Kiley, Sam Tate, and Howard Pittman. Dr. Reynolds was a native of Piedmont. He proudly preached the gospel and pastored churches in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi. He devoted his life to God and spent countless hours studying the word of God to lead everyone to Christ. He was a bold witness for God, courageously and openly sharing his faith in Christ, proclaiming His truth without shame. He lived his testimony and always spoke God's word with conviction. He loved his family and spending time with them. He had a way of making everyone feel special. Dr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Naoma "Blom" Rainey Reynolds; parents, Jeston and Mamie Baxter Reynolds and five sisters. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
