Funeral services for R. B. Watts, 69, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at McWhorter Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Morris Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm, prior to the service.
R. B. was born on April 8, 1955, in Gilmer, Texas to Bruce and Jo Ann Johnson Watts and passed from this life on February 22, 2025.
R. B. received his master's degree in computer science and worked as a computer programmer for many years until his retirement. He owned and operated Watts RV Park in Pritchett. He was a beloved member of Pritchett Church of Christ. R. B. loved to play golf, and be outside whether it was going to the river or having a fish fry. He never missed an opportunity to crack a joke while also making everyone feel loved.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Rachel Watts; sisters, Pam Slaven and Connie Irons; nephews, Mark Eitel and Brandon Eitel; and his niece, Devan Renfro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Mark Watts.
Pallbearers will be Mark Eitel, Brandon Eitel, Josh Minor, Terry Joe Johnson, Ernie Poston, and Jason Renfro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Pritchett Church of Christ, 1258 FM 1404, Big Sandy, Texas 75755.
