Sandra Lee Russell passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, in Van Vleck, Texas. She was born on August 31, 1955, to Ezra Jackson Elledge and Maydell Crump Elledge in Fort Worth, Texas.
Sandra's life was a testament to her values of family, compassion, and hard work. She took great pride in making her home a gathering place filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories for her loved ones.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Melissa Lee and Husband James, Tina Trevino and husband Patrick; 4 grandchildren, Jeff Trantham, Jonathan Alafro, Blake Trevino and Blair Trevino, along with 3 great grandchildren, Kenneth John "KJ" Trantham, Abel Trantham and Delaney Alafro.
Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Russell and siblings, Melba Looney, Dave Edward Elledge and Royce Elledge.
Visitation services will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas, on October 2, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Following this, a graveside service will take place at Hopewell Cemetery in Gilmer on October 3, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM.
