Rachel Herbstritt Obituary
Rachel attended Heald College in California. She had previously worked at Hewlett-Packard and Measurement Specialties in California, Air Borne in Lake City, PA, then Sunburst Electronics and Kold Draft in Erie. Rachel came to Erie, where she married her husband, Mark on June 7, 2008. They are active members of Grace of Calvary Baptist Church. Rachel had a very strong faith. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart. Rachel loved reading her bible and doing her devotions daily. She liked to design projects for the church on canva. Rachel battled multiple myeloma without a complaint. She loved her children with all her heart and brought them up in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord". She also loved her many grandchildren.
Rachel is lovingly survived by her husband and best friend, Mark Herbstritt; four children, Elias "Sonny" Salas (Becky), Joel Salas (Rebeca), Aaron Salas (Monique) and Leticia "Letty" Molina (Andrew); two stepchildren, Taylor Herbstritt and Joseph Herbstritt and their families; three sisters, Linda Valdespino (Tito Sr.), Debbie Hernandez (Julio) and Lucy Mendez; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony Ortiz.
Funeral Services to take place at Grace of Calvary Baptist Church will be announced by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. in the next couple weeks. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.

Mark and family, tho I had not had the privilege of getting to know Rachel real well, I could tell that she was a genuine and loving Christian. I admired her smile even thru her illness. I am so sorry for your loss, and I will miss seeing her at the church. You all are in my prayers!

Dear Mark and family,
What a sweet, sweet lady you were all blessed with!! It was indeed our pleasure to have known her for the time we did. She always had a smile to share with us at church. Mark, you two took us "under wing" for a game night and taught us how to play SkipBo (that was quite fun and whenever we have played since, you two are thought of...pretty sure that will continue. lol) Many prayers have gone before her and now that her pain is gone, we will put those prayers into your family.
