Rachel Jeannette Dover Sartin

Mrs. Rachel Jeannette Dover Sartin, age 88, of Lindale, GA, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at her residence.
Mrs. Sartin was born in Aragon, GA on March 26, 1937, daughter of the late L.W. Dover and the late Annie Corene Deems Dover. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugo Sartin, by 2 children, Robby Hugo Sartin and Connie Sartin Mull, a grandson, Jonathan Mull, and 2 brothers, Ralph Dover and Jerry Dover. Mrs. Sartin was a master cosmetologist having fixed hair for over 55 years. She owned and operated Rachel's Beauty Shop in Lindale for many years. Mrs. Sartin retired at 72 years of age from the Floyd County School System where she worked as a nutritionist for 10 years. She was a member of Euharlee Baptist Church in Aragon.
Mrs. Sartin was an extremely crafty woman and loved to sew and quilt in her spare time. She loved traveling and exploring new places. Mrs. Sartin was an excellent cook and always wanted to make sure any visitor she had was well fed before they left. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished every moment spent with them. Above all, Mrs. Sartin loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and is now rejoicing in His presence for eternity.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Sartin East (Tim), Lindale; her son-in-law, Kenneth Mull; 3 grandchildren, Paige Dempsey, Drew East, and Jeremy East (Selena); 6 great-grandchildren, Chansley Dempsey, Jaxton East, Thessali East, Merida East, Xander East, and Maggie East; a great-great-granddaughter, Haisleigh Niles; 2 siblings, Milton Dover (Roxie), and Jean Hoover; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with her son-in-law, Rev. Tim East, officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12pm until service time at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
Pallbearers are to assemble by 1:30pm on Tuesday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, and include: Kenneth Mull, Drew East, Jeremy East, Jason Dempsey and Gary Dover.
