Rae Jean Foerster, age 67, of Lansing, MI, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on September 1, 2025. Born on November 12, 1957, in California, she was a warm and friendly presence in the lives of all who knew her.

Rae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed crafting, puzzles of all kinds, her beloved pup Rosie and she especially cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Foerster and her two sons Nicholas (Trisha) Foerster, Jonathan (Kristin Hicks) Foerster and her granddaughters, Brooklynn and Britten Foerster. She is also survived by her siblings, Bobbi (Terry) Ballinger, Frances (Pat) Heffron, Kevin (Cindy) Alleman, Cedric (Susan) Alleman, Robin (Susan) Alleman, and Brian Alleman as well as three aunts and many nieces, nephews, and extended ‘ohana and friends who loved her dearly. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and deep love for her family.

Rae was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Bertha Alleman and her in-laws, William and Gertrude Foerster.

She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her memory will forever be treasured by her family and friends.

In accordance with Rae’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at South Church of the Nazarene, 401 W. Holmes Rd, Lansing, MI 48910. 

Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM, Celebration Service will be at 11:00 AM, with lunch to follow at the church. 

Please join the family in wearing Rae’s favorite color orange or coral and/or a Hawaiian print.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Church of the Nazarene in Lansing.
