Rae Deanne Turnage, 71 of Sterling passed into eternal life on Sunday, January 11, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 19 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Flores officiating. The service will conclude at the church.

Rae Deanne, also known as Rae, was born August 7, 1954, in Sterling, Colorado to Vernon Ray and Mable Dean (Adamson) Turnage. Rae Deanne graduated from Sterling High School and later acquired several formal education degrees. Several years were spent studying psychology. She was employed at Centennial Mental Health and other various health care teams in her lifetime.

Rae was a devout believer in Jesus Christ and baptized at Calvary Baptist Church. She met her love and life partner, Chris March, in 2023. Rae Deanne and Chris set an example to all their friends on how it is never too late to fall in love. Her joys in life were helping others, traveling, writing music, Bible study, art and crafts and taking care of animals.

She was preceded in death by her pet kitty Rascal; her parents Vernon and Mable Dean, two sisters Sherry Faye Turnage and Joyce Allice Williams; and two brothers Paul Gilbert and Marion Gene Turnage.

Rae Deanne is survived by her partner Chris Marsh of Sterling, CO; lifetime family friends Donna Jo and Allen South; special family friend Ray Anderson; several nieces and great-nieces and great-nephews and best friend Terri Milheim.
