It is with great sadness that the family of Rafael Monge, age 79, husband, father, uncle, brother, and long time resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico announces his passing, on September 17, 2024 in Las Cruces, NM. Born in San Francisco de Borja, Chihuahua, Mexico to Ramona Martinez and Simon Monge. He had a passion for horses, and pursuing knowledge, often found reading and watching nature documentaries. He was a devout follower of the Catholic faith.
Rafael is survived by his children, Venessa Monge, Lizette Monge, and Rafael Monge Jr. and wife Yolanda Monge, his brothers Pedro Monge(Virginia) and Jose Monge(Maria). Other survivors include nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The Rosary is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25th at 6pm at Getz Funeral Home. The Mass is scheduled for Thursday September 26th at 10am at St. Genevieve’s Catholic Church followed by burial at San Albino Cemetery.
