Ralene Commodore-Smith was born on February 8, 1967 to Shirley Commodore and Raymond Gardley. Ralene passed away suddenly along with her son Roger Stanford, III on April 10, 2024 in Bear, Delaware.
Ralene graduated from McKean High School. After high school, she went on to work for several banks, from Mellon Bank,WSFS to Bank of America (MBNA), where she worked for over 10 years. After leaving Bank of America, Ralene worked for First Student as a school bus driver. Ralene found her true calling while working for First Student Ralene loved driving children to school each morning. She was a delight to all "her" children on her bus route. She would always bring them candy and had a warm smile for not only "her" children but for her co-workers as well. Ralene was truly loved by all.
Ralene is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Smith, Sr., mother, Shirley Commodore; father, Raymond Gardley and siblings, Annette, Arlene, Diane, Timmy and Larry.
Ralene is survived by her son, Henry Smith Jr., two grandsons, Roger Stanford, IV and Roemello Stanford; siblings, Victoria, Franklin (Valerie), Kevin (Edna), Gary, Daryl and Rachel; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
