Dr. Ralph Eugene Baker Jr.

Ralph Eugene Baker Jr. passed away October 29 at the age of 88.
He is survived by 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Jennifer and Ellen (Jeremiah); and 5 grandchildren, Peyton, Sawyer, Gavin, Brodie, and Kaylyn.
He was born in Charleston, SC to the late Ralph and Claryce Baker. He attended Emory University followed by medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. Following his passion for medicine, Ralph completed 3 specialties: OB-GYN, Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine. He moved to Stuart once his training was completed where he began his own practice. Medicine was his first love and he maintained his license until the time of his passing. He loved knowledge and encouraged everyone he could to strive to learn and better themselves.
An avid outdoorsman, Ralph loved spending his free time boating, hunting birds, fishing, or just soaking up the sun. His love of travel often found him flying into a location and exploring for weeks at the time while driving the open road. He also loved spending time with family and friends.
Despite many health challenges, Ralph remained resilient, independent, and grateful. Throughout it all, he maintained his faith and optimism.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at St. Mary's Episcopal church in Stuart. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City with a reception at the funeral home to follow.
