Ralph C. "Rocky" Banks

Ralph “Rocky” Banks, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away on September 28, 2025 at age 82. Born in Perth Amboy, to the late Ralph M. and Mary (Kasmer) Banks, and the cherished husband of the late Sharon Banks, love of his life for 56 years until she passed in March.

Ralph was a retired Fire Lieutenant for the Edison Twp. Fire Department and a veteran of the US Army. He treasured his time with family and friends and enjoyed camping in his early years and traveling with Sharon after retirement. They spent their retirement in Naples, FL, and Manahawkin, NJ. Rocky enjoyed fishing, watching the Giants and NASCAR racing, and could always strike up an easy conversation with anyone he met.

Rocky is survived by his daughter Stephanie Patterson, and her husband Jim, granddaughter Kyra Patterson, and brother Barry Banks. He was a beloved Uncle to Laura Hoey, husband Pat, and their sons Patrick and Evan. He will be deeply missed by all.

Rocky’s visitation will begin at 10AM Saturday October 25, 2025, at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ, where his Service of Remembrance will follow at 12:00PM Noon.
