Ralph worked in construction for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outside hunting and fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and is dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Beard of Owaneco, IL; daughter, Patience Beard of Owaneco, IL; sons, Jake Beard and John Beard both of Taylorville, IL; grandsons, Carson Beard and Cameron Beard of Taylorville, IL; mother, Nancy Beard of Owaneco, IL; sister, Kathy (Monte) Clutter of Moweaqua, IL; and brothers, Danny Beard of Moweaqua, IL; and Jay Beard of Springfield, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Beard; great-grandmother, Sadie Zeiter; and his sister, Jean Beard.
As per Ralph's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held at this time.
