Born on March 15, 1941, in Stilesboro, Georgia, Ralph was the son of the late Horace Sr. and Ida Bell (Dorsey) Cooley. And preceded by siblings in death are Horace Jr., Perry Lee, Kathryn, Elmer, James, Glen, Hubert, and Betty.
A proud veteran, Ralph served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for more than twenty years, ultimately retiring at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Following his distinguished military career, he continued his lifelong dedication to service by working for over a decade at the New Hampshire State Hospital.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Cooley of Newington; his son, Reginald "Reggie" Cooley, and Reggie's partner, Deborah Hood; Brother-in-Law, Carl Chestnut; his grandson, Jamal Cooley and Jamal's partner, Krystal; and his cherished great-granddaughter, Joella Cooley.
Also surviving are Ralph's siblings, Carey, Levon, Earlene; and all the related people in Carterville GA.
Ralph's hobbies were coaching sports teams, landscaping, and enjoying family moments.
Friends and family are invited to gather for calling hours on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Avenue, Dover, NH. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
