Ralph F. Jaecks

It's with great sadness we share that our dad, Ralph F. Jaecks, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 in the Palliative Care Unit of Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
A lifelong Wisconsinite, dad was born October 13, 1942, to the late William Jaecks and Lottie (Mallak) Szalewski. He met the love of his life, Marilyn (Buska) Jaecks, shortly after his honorable discharge from the Air Force and they wed on April 11, 1964, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Rothschild. Mom preceded dad in death in 2004 and we know that their circle has been completed now that they are back together. Together we vacationed all over the United States, visiting with their many brothers and sisters (between them they had 21 siblings!).
While many have passed on, Dad is survived by his sister, Charlene, and several in-laws along with many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his children, daughters Jamie (Todd) Lyon and Jodie (Tom) Skrzypchak and son Jay (Faye) Jaecks. He was also loved and will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Cole, Taylor, Dylan, Ryan, and Olivia; and great-grandchildren, Luis and Hudson. Dad was a skilled carpenter and loved building houses. He had many good friends, we'd say he never met a stranger, but we'd be remiss if we didn't acknowledge his breakfast buddy, John.
His memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. until the time of service all at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.

We are thankful for the time we shared and memories we made with Dad. This is not an end, instead a new beginning.
