Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial with full military honors will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery immediately following the service.
DeLoyd was born in Easton, WI on June 12, 1934 to Ervin and Esther (Tittien) Jaecks. He was united in marriage to LuAnne Zillman and they lived in Wausau most of their lives. DeLoyd was a truck driver most of his life and dairy farmer. He was an avid outdoorsman especially hunting and fishing. DeLoyd and LuAnne fostered 37 children and received awards from Governor Thompson of Madison. He was very involved in square dancing, VFW, and snowmobile clubs.
DeLoyd is survived by children, Sue Smith, DuWayne Jaecks, and Jodi Jaecks; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and sister, Delores Jaecks.
