Ralph S. Kowalkowski

Ralph S. Kowalkowski, 66, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home died Monday, March 31, 2003 at the home. Ralph was born December 6, 1936 in Milwaukee, a son of Steven and MollyAnn Ludka Kowalkowski. On August 20, 1994 he married Nancy Lange King at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac.

Ralph was a graduate of Villanova University and played basketball and baseball in college. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Ralph worked as a salesman for DuPont, Walton March, Stearns Chemical, and Zimmermann Brush. He also worked part time for Foot Locker and Sears as a sales associate. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the Elks Lodge #57. Ralph was instrumental in beginning the depression support group in Fond du Lac through St. Agnes Hospital.

Survivors include his wife of Fond du Lac, two sons; Steve Kowalkowski of California and Joseph (Lori) Kowalkowski of North Carolina, two step-daughters; Debra (Joe) Kurkowski of Fond du Lac and Patty (David) Knueppel of Fond du Lac, his mother; MollyAnn Kowalkowski of Fond du Lac, his mother-in-law; Marguerite Lange of Fond du Lac, six grandchildren, two sisters; Carolyn Kowalkowski of Chippewa Falls and Nancy (Milt) Swantz of Fond du Lac, three sister-in-laws; Shirley (Steve) Thurk of Fond du Lac, Mary Ellen (Ken) Cudworth of Fond du Lac, and Phyllis (Quinn) Gross of Fond du Lac, and one brother-in-law; John (Carol) Lange of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his father, father-in-law, and brother-in-law.

Visitation for Mr. Kowalkowski will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2003 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 5:00 P.M. at the church with the Rev. David Dolan officiating. Entombment will follow on Friday morning at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum.
