Ralph Martin, age 90, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024.

He was born on February 13, 1933, to his parents William and Jennie Martin, in Bethpage, Tennessee.

As a young man, Ralph served the United States Army, in Korea, during the Korean War. Shortly after he returned from his military service he was married to Sue (Tyson) Martin, on June 22, 1957.

For work, he had a distinguished sales career in the food industry; including Krispy Crème and Lewis Bakeries. Ralph was also a member of Good Sheppard United Methodist Church, in Hendersonville, for 60 years, and served the church in numerous leadership roles.

In his personal time, Ralph was an avid golfer.

Ralph was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed. His family takes peace that he lived a long and full life.

Ralph Emerson Martin is survived by his loving wife, Sue (Tyson) Martin; children, Jennie James, Ty Martin (Stephanie Martin), and Sallie Scovill (Bob Scovill); grandchildren, Casey James, Andrew James, Ben Martin, Wesley James, Zach Martin, Alex Martin, Nikki Scovill; and great grandson, Walker James.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Arthur Martin; mother, Jennie (Bell) Martin; and 6 siblings.

Visitation will take place at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Wednesday, February 14, from 3:00 P.M., until 7:00 P.M., and again on Thursday, February 15, from 11:00 A.M., until 1:00 P.M..

The funeral service of Mr. Ralph Martin will be at 1:00 P.M., on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Rev. Denman Frazer and Rev. Donny Martin will be officiating services. Burial at Crestview Memory Gardens will immediately follow services.

Those serving as pall bearers are Bobby Martin, Freddy Martin, Donny Martin, Joey Martin, Scott Martin, and Skipper Martin.
