Ralph Jacob Parker

Ralph Jacob Parker, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 2, 2024 in Kingwood, Texas. Born August 24,1936 in Buffalo, Texas. His family moved to Austin, Texas where he grew up and attended Travis High School where he also met the love of his life Shirley Sims. They married July 15, 1955. Later, after years working in the meatpacking business for Blue Ribbon, Ralph and Shirley started Parker Packing Company in Houston, Texas serving the local food industry for many years.
Ralph was a very active member of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church. He was also a lifetime member of The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He loved waterskiing, square dancing, and listening to gospel and country music. Ralph was a very kind and thoughtful man who loved the Lord and his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Bertie Parker, his wife Shirley, son Dean, brother Eugene, and sister Mary Ann. He leaves behind sister Murlene Thomas, and daughters Vicki Mitchener and husband Steve, and Shannon Brown and husband Matt, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and numerous extended family members whom he loved. He will be dearly missed by all.
A graveside memorial service will be held October 8, 2024 at 11:00am at Woodlawn
