Ramon Colon Jr.

Mr. Ramon Antonio Colon Jr., 56, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 23, 2025 surrounded by family and friends after battling cancer and other medical issues.
Ramon was born September 23, 1968 a son to Marcelina Rivera Maldonado of Waterbury and the late Ramon Colon Sr.
As a native of Waterbury, he grew up on Walnut St and was well known in the city throughout his life. He had a light-hearted and loud personality that commanded your attention and made people laugh. From a young age, Ramon loved sports and he instilled that in his sons and was a faithful fan of their games. He enjoyed playing in his Sunday Flag Football league for the Rookies and is best known for being a fanatical Raiders fan. He also enjoyed sharing a drink with his buddies. He was a longtime employee of both AJ Oyster and Timex. He was very particular about his possessions and he took pride in making something that seemed useless and turned it into something usable.
In the last few years, he was blessed to be able to witness the birth of 4 more grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with all 7 of them. He leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life, Robin Carpentier, his sons; Ryan (Kate) Colon and Anthony (Isabel) Colon, his many grandchildren; Alexia, Isaiah, Anthony Jr., Skylar, Sofia, Isabella, and Angelo, his siblings; Lourdes (son Lorenzo) Maldonado, Luis Maldonado, Edwin (Christy) Maldonado, Ricardo Maldonado, his nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
He will be missed on this earth and we will cherish the memories we have with him.
