Ramon C. Hernandez ,90, of Levelland passed from this life on November 10, 2025. Visitation will take place at Krestridge Funeral Home on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with the reading of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Saturday, November 15, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
He was born in Eagle Lake, Texas on September 28,1935 to parents, Teodoro and Paula Cabello Hernandez. Ramon grew up in grew up in Eagle Lake, Texas and Rosenberg, Texas as well as California and Arizona before settling in Levelland.
Ramon was a migrant farm worker in his early years, Ramon built a successful life through his determination and self-reliance, eventually owning and operating Ray’s Place in Cashion, Arizona, for many years.
Ramon was a man of impeccable style, always dressed sharply, and took great pride in presenting himself with dignity. His strong faith was central to his life, and he instilled this in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He believed deeply in trusting the Lord and living with purpose.
A man of humor and heart, Ramon had a unique way of lightening the mood, even during difficult times. His ability to find humor and joy in life, no matter the circumstances, was one of his most cherished qualities.
Ramon's greatest pride was his family, and he loved each member in his own special way. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his lessons in hard work, independence, and love will live on through them.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Teodoro and Paula Cabello Hernandez; daughter, Graciela Hernandez; son, Richard D. Hernandez; siblings, Macario Hernandez, Marias Hernandez, Angelita Hernandez, Guadalupe “Lupe” Hernandez, Guillermo “Willy” Hernandez, Pascual “Chon” Hilario Hernadez and grandchildren, Natalia Corrales and Ricky Ray Hernandez.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Maria Elena Camarillo Hernandez; sister, Esiquia H. Garza; daughters, Paula Baldovina and Irene Corrales; along with thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
Ramon will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love, humor, and faith will live on in all who knew him.
