Ramon Paez

Ramon Paez, 91, of Lodi, formerly of Queens NY and Paterson NJ, passed away on May 12, 2025. He was blessed with intelligence and work ethic. Before he retired, he worked for HF Butler in Piscataway, an engineering firm and defense contractor, starting as a welder on the shop floor and elevating himself to a mechanical engineer. He ultimately became VP and most notably led the design and development team for the turbine engines used in the United States Navy F-14 "Tomcat" fighter jet and in the US Nuclear Submarine fleet. He was also a die hard Mets fan. LFGM!
Ramon is predeceased by his parents Jose Manuel Paez and Bertha Amador. Devoted father of Randy and Sonia Paez, Karla and Christopher Conzen, Ramon and Lucila Guarin Paez, and Eveyln Paez. Loving grandfather of Sara and Andrew Conzen, Hudson Rey Paez and a granddaughter (coming November 2025), Carolina Paez, Rossana Hall and her husband Clint, Miguel Eduardo Andrade Paez and Andres Felipe Andrade Paez and great-grandfather of Mariapaz and Leticia Vasquez and Beau and Sawyer Hall. Dear brother of Pepe Paez, Josefina Paez and Marina Paez. Survived by his former wife, Olga Paez.
