Ramon Rocolcol, Sr., 86, entered eternal life on October 6, 2025 after a long illness. Beloved husband to the late Nenita Navarro Rocolcol. Loving father to Sister Helena of Mary, O.Carm., Monette and her husband Sensen Colonia, Ramuel and his wife Mariz Rocolcol, Monjun and his wife Aliena Rocolcol, Rona and her husband Roy Taniajura, Cindy and her husband Nico Padilla and Darlene Rocolcol. Cherished grandfather to Caira Loisse and Eddesson Cahatol, Michael Vincent Colonia, Rizelle Marie Therese Rocolcol, John Mari Rocolcol and Zion Gabriel Padilla. Loving great-grandfather to Xyreen, Aubree and Audree. Dear brother of the late Vicente Rocolcol, Basilides Gotico, Andrea Rocolcol, Macario Rocolcol and Monserat Nohara. Also survived by many extended family and friends.
Ramon was born in the Philippines on December 12, 1938. He worked as Registrar of the Land Transportation Commission in the Philippines. After his retirement, he immigrated to the United States along with his wife in 2002 to be with their children in Vallejo, CA. He loved the United States, had a great admiration and love for General Douglas McArthur who liberated the Philippines from the Japanese army with his famous words "I shall return" but remained a hardcore Filipino to the very end. Ramon will be remembered by his family as a devoted, hands-on father and family provider, instilling in his children the value of education. He was serious and introverted but enjoyed family times and remained attached to his Filipino culture to the end.
On Monday, October 13, friends will be received from 3-7 pm at Skyview Memorial Lawn located at 200 Rollingwood Dr, Vallejo, CA. Funeral is on Tuesday, October 14 at 1:00 pm at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church located at 3450 Tennessee St., Vallejo, CA with Rev. Peter West as celebrant. Interment will be Skyview Memorial Lawn. Send condolences to https://www.skyviewmemorial.com/
