Randal Lynn O'Field

Randal Lynn O'Field passed on to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his residence in Hepzibah, West Virginia.
Randal was born on June 16, 1954, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the son of William Roy O'Field and Dolores Jean Caldwell O'Field, both of whom preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his brother Jeff O'Field.
He is survived by two brothers William O'Field, Jr. and Ronald O'Field, a nephew and niece Jeffrey O'Field and Ashley O'Field and their mother Mona O'Field.
He is also survived by his many special cousins including Eilene Caldwell Harris, Jeff Clayton, Debi Toth, Robert Paugh, John Paugh, Denise Ramirez, and Linda Malcolm and his close friend Debby Johnston.
Randal was a 1972 graduate of Victory High School where he played clarinet in the school band. He was also a graduate of Fairmont State College (now University) and spent most of his working years teaching and most recently at the Harrison County Day Report Center where he enjoyed working and made many friends. In the past, he taught at Stanley Technical Institute also in Clarksburg.
Randal will be remembered for his love of puzzles, books, reading, and all animals. He was a member of the Hepzibah Baptist Church in Hepzibah.
The family would like to thank the Harrison County Senior Center for the excellent in-home care services provided to Randal with special thanks to his care giver Laura Vaughan and Crystal Pumphrey, Janice Millson, RN, and Elisa Hughes, RN.
The family will receive friends at the Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, WV on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Harley Jeffries officiating. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
