Randall Wayne Hart, lovingly known as Randy, passed away in Bakersfield, California, at the age of 68 after a hard-fought battle with cancer and Parkinson's.
Born in Wasco, California, Randy lived a full and vibrant life marked by hard work, laughter, and a boundless love for music and adventure.
Randy graduated from Wasco High in 1975 and went on to attend CSUB. He began his working life in the potato sheds and the Lost Hills Water District. He later built a long career as a mail handler with the United States Postal Service, where he eventually retired. Always busy and dedicated, he also found joy in giving back to his community. He spent countless years volunteering with AYSO, earning his own parking spot at the soccer complex, and served on the Social and Recreation Committee at the post office, where he helped plan many memorable events.
He was unapologetically himself - funny, incredibly smart and full of life. He loved DJing weddings, going to concerts, coaching soccer, and road-tripping across the United States. A die-hard Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Dodgers fan, Randy could always be counted on to test your sports trivia knowledge. His passion for travel, music, sports, and laughter is a legacy he proudly passed on to his children.
Randy is survived by his best friend and mother, Vonda Weaver Hart Swann; his brother Jeff Hart (Karen); his children Brandon Hart (Candace), Courtney Hart, Skyler Hart, and Logan Hart; and his beloved grandchildren Aeryn Hart and Jackson Hart. He will also be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Hart; his brother, Clifford Hart; his grandparents, Elzy and Myrtle Weaver, and Harve and Maude Hart; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and his pups Scout, Jasper and Duke. I
A celebration of Randy's life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at 1767 Glenwood Drive, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
In true Randy fashion, crack open a Coors Light - or honor your sobriety - turn up the music, and raise a toast to a man who lived life loud, loved hard, and never let anything (not even missing toes) slow him down.
