Yadkinville – Randall “Randy” Allison Hoots, 73, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024. He was born August 8, 1951 in Forsyth County. Randy was an active member at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church. He loved his Lord and loved going to church with his friends. Randy enjoyed spending time with his family, but his pride and joy was his granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel “Dan” Allison Hoots; brother, Timmy Hoots. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kay Smith Hoots; mother, Wilma Wall Hoots; daughter, Allison (Jeff) Williams; granddaughters, Riley Williams, Maddie Williams; sister, Cheryl (Larry) Smith; brothers, Gary (Marilyn) Hoots, Phillip (Starla) Hoots, Jon (Jenny) Hoots; brother-in-law, Junior Smith; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Chris Hauser and Dr. Phil Beavers. Burial will follow at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Memorials can be made to South Oak Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund, 1336 Lone Hickory Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Hoots family.
