Nanny's pride and joys were her 27 (28th on the way!) great-grandchildren who lit up her face with the most beautiful smile with each visit.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews that each held a special place in her heart. A special thank you to Kathy Eldridge, whose loving care sustained her daily, treating her with the care that all mothers deserve.
Wilma, lovingly known as "Nanny" had a servant's heart, finding joy in serving others. She also found Joy in her daily walk with the Lord, always looking for a way to share the Gospel with friends and strangers. She loved creating cross stitch treasures to give away. Wilma Joy always filled the room with joy and laughter. Her joy has now become Full in the Presence of her Savior.
Her Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday April 27, 2025 at Peacehaven Baptist Church in Yadkinville by Pastor Jon Bowman, Pastor Jared Hoots, and Pastor George Evans. She will lie in-state from 1:30-2:00 PM Sunday before the service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the vestibule of the church. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 516 Hawthorne Drive, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
