Randall Wallace Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mercer-Adams Funeral Service on Mar. 2, 2022.
Randall "Randy" Wallace, son of Woodrow "Woody" and Hazel Wallace (Young), was born on May 6th, 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK. In August of 1979, he married Louvee "Vee" Wallace (Brown), and they later built their home in Yukon. He's preceded in death by his parents and his son, Shelby Layne Wallace. He is survived by his wife, Vee of Yukon; 3 children, Scott Anthony Wallace of Oklahoma City, Briana Michelle Bratton and her husband Jesse of Mustang, and his youngest, Bailey Layne Wallace of Lee's Summit, MO; his sister, Teresa and her husband Paul Kilpatrick of Oklahoma City; as well as his best friend, Dave Farrand and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Last but not least, he's survived by his adoring grandchildren, Brynnleigh Paige, William Blaine, and Elliot Beckham.
Randy grew up as an active member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church. While attending NW Classen High School, Randy loved his time in woodshop. He enlisted in the Army before being drafted as a young man ready to serve our great country.
After being honorably discharged in 1974, Randy began his lifelong career in the automotive industry. In the first few years, he drove a wrecker, even crossing state lines on occasion. Beyond his wrecker days, he worked as a service advisor until retirement. He began at Boyd, which later became City Chevrolet, and finally retired from Smicklas Chevrolet in 2017.
While working 7 to 7 most days, Randy rarely missed time with his girls. Whether it was one of Bri's drama productions or Bailey's quiz bowl tournaments, Randy Wallace was there.
Randy and Vee also built a concession trailer as something fun to do on the weekends. They'd pull it to different festivals and although they had an extensive menu, Randy was "The Brownie Maker."
Randy was always up for a trip to the lake. He spent many summer weekends at Lake Tenkiller. His favorite area was Chicken Creek.
In his most recent years, his number one task in life was definitely being OPop, a title he was given in 2011 and wholeheartedly cherished. His retired years were filled with soccer games, school science fairs, grandparent days, baseball tournaments and, most recently, cheer competitions.
Randy was so proud of his kids and everything he helped provide for them, but he was proudest of their own personal accomplishments: Scott's Pub in Harrah, The Black Raven, Bri in her career as a Realtor, and Bailey as a speech pathologist. He will truly be missed by all.
In his honor, donations can be made to The Boxer Rescue of Oklahoma at tbro.org, where he adopted his beloved dog, Archie.
The services will be live streamed on this obituary page.
