Rose Anne Wallace

Durham ~ Rose Anne Wallace, 80, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Hillcrest Convalescent Center. She was born on May 29, 1945 to the late Robert Leonard Heston and Thelma Grace Ireland Heston. She is also preceded in death by her husband, David L. Wallace; stepsons, Barry J. Wallace and Steven W. Wallace.

Rose Anne worked in the banking industry in Durham for 40+ years. She has many community connections including great friendships with bank personnel form over the years. She also had a great love of dogs. For thirty years Cedarwood Kennels produced top of the line Samoyed dogs who participated in both confirmation and obedience. In later years Rose Anne changed her breed of choice to standard poodles. Remy, her main dog is a grand champion and Simone, who passed, was a therapy dog in the middle school in Hillsborough. All of Rosa Anne's surviving dogs have been place in loving homes.

Ms. Wallace is survived by her stepson, Jeffery Wallace; daughter in law, Sheryl Wallace; her siblings, Jim Heston, Mike Heston, and Kathy Heston-Henriksen; friend, Ginger Bevan.

There will be a visitation of family and friends on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Clements Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 11:00 am at Maplewood Cemetery.
