Mr. Randall Wade Williamson age 68, of Albertville, Alabama, died on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at three o’clock pm in the McRae Chapel with Bro. Neal Chaffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Bodine Cemetery, Guntersville. A visitation will be on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 1:00 o’clock pm until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Williamson was born in Cullman, Alabama on March 31, 1957, to Edward & Frances Talley Williamson. He was a graduate of Boaz High School class of 1975. After High School, he served in the U.S. Army for four years as a wrecker operator with the Pershing Missile unit in Germany. He worked several years in the family business, Boaz Trim Shop, while it was in operation. He was employed by The City of Boaz as the street sweeper operator. He also was the owner of Sand Mountain Lawn Service. He loved music, Alabama football and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member of Bel Air Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Mr. Williamson is survived by Wife: Glenese Bodine Williamson of Albertville, Daughters: Amanda & Brad Smith of Albertville and Laura & Brent Lathan of Albertville, Expected Grandson: Jett Wade Lathan, Mother: Frances Williamson, Brother: Dr. Michael & Debbie Williamson of Albertville. He was preceded in death by his Father: Edward Williamson
The pallbearers will be Barry Moore, Kevin Jackson, Tracy Duvall, Paul Johnson, Phil Hudgins, and Dan Floyd. Honorary Pallbearers will be former co-workers of the Boaz Street Department.
