My life was impacted by Earl Hedgepeth early on after my Daddy moved us to Albertville in 1965. I was 6 years old and loved to play baseball. I remember one day my Daddy was driving us around town in the car to get an Idea about Albertville and we went by the Hedgepeth house on college St. Daddy said I think this is where Earl and Peggy live, about that time Big Earl ( who looked like a giant to me) came out of the house and hollered Parker stop and come in. We stopped and went in and met the family and became life long friends. The Hedgepeth family is what we call ( Salt of the Earth People) in the South. Earl, Peggy and Bill I'll see you again someday!
