Parks - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks to honor the life of Randolph "Randy" Paul Latiolais, 75, who passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in Lafayette.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. It will continue on Wednesday from 7:00 am until 1:00 pm.
A Rosary will prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening by Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert.
Father David Rozas will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Randy was a long-time parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Louis Mission Chapel in Parks. For several years, Randy worked at Martin Mills and then went on to retire from Cargil after 22 years. After retirement, he enjoyed spending the last 15 years working alongside his oldest son, Jamie, doing carpentry work.
Randy was a die-hard Saints fan and he thoroughly enjoyed staying home to watch sports. He also enjoyed watching Fox News and talking politics. Randy loved to travel and go on cruises with his wife. His passions also included: going out to eat with his friends, dancing and keeping up his yard. Many of his afternoons included a peaceful golf cart ride.
Randy was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Champagne Latiolais; sons, Jamie Latiolais (Adria) and Brady Latiolais (Rusty); brother, Rick Latiolais (Bonnie); and step-grandchild, Gentry Garrett.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilton Latiolais and Julia Poirier Latiolais; and his sister, Veronica Dore'.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Latiolais, Rusty Santiny, Lonnie Champagne, Rene' Champagne, Johnny Champagne and Nick Gonzales.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brady Latiolais, Rick Latiolais, Ralph Dore', Mike Thibodeaux and Carroll Champagne, Jr.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
