Randy was a Rochelle senior anticipating graduating next May. Randy loved being a Rochelle Hornet and looked forward to graduating. Randy was in 4-H and placed third in last year's stock show. His dreams were to join the service after graduation. Randy was a gamer and loved to not only playing his video games but give tutorials to others on how to play. He planned to go to Caltech and become a gaming developer.
Randy is proceeded in death by his great - grandfather Henry Davis, uncle Tony Orbano, grandfather Antonio Ortegon, great - grandpa Junie Teague, great uncle Jimmey Jolly, Mimi Elizabeth Covey, cousin Kevin Jolly, aunt Sarah James and Grandpa Carl Ray Covey.
Randy is survived by his dad JoLee Ortegon, mom Glenda Ortegon, Nana Dorris Hanna, Grandma Brenda Teague, Grandpa Ronnie Tacket, brothers Timothy Covey and Jon Henrey Ortegon, aunts Elsa Delcambre, Doreen Hunt, Emma Beach, Misty Stewart, Lora Smith, Mary Slatton, Claudia Corona, and Anastacia Santoya, uncles Sidney Covey, Walker Covey, Michael McFarland, and Tommy Ellis, cousins Brooke and Breanna McFarland, Michelle Beach, and Jayden Hernandez, nieces Macie, Stevie, and Hazel, and adopted grandparents Isabel and Jason Hagle.
The family would like to thank the Heart of Texas Hospital, Brady EMS, Placid VFD, and Rochelle VFD. A special thank you to Telisa Deramus and Becky Nuncio.
Visitation will be held 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, October 11, 2024, at Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.
Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.

Randy was one of my closest friends when I lived in Rochelle. He was always kind and we had so much fun. He was a great friend, great guy in general. He will forever be in my heart and prayers. I miss you Randy.
