Randy Alan Roshek, 44, of St Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home with his family, Monday, August 26, 2024. He was born to Rodney and Rosie Roshek in St Charles and grew up with his older brother Ryan Roshek. Randy attended Assumption school through 8th grade and graduated from Fort Zumwalt North High School participating in soccer, basketball, and tennis. After high school Randy earned a Computer Science degree from Mount Mercy University where he met his wife, Heather Lynn Luhring. Randy & Heather were married for 19 years, and built a beautiful family including daughter, Aubrey, and son Mason.
Randy started his computer software career in his college apartment for Union Pacific Railroad and then went on to work at CitiBank for 20 years earning the top Leaders in Excellence Award in 2022. Randy was a loyal, hard-working employee and was a mentor for many because of his honesty, integrity and ability to problem solve any issue.
Randy lived life to the fullest and had the biggest heart. He was an avid golfer, boat captain for "Big Bird", a great husband, father, and friend. He enjoyed driveway gatherings, live music, being the life of the party, and was usually the one that wanted to get the party started. Randy was always fixing something or doing some type of house project with his creative touch. He would say there is nothing that YouTube could not teach you. But most of all, Randy loved watching Aubrey and Mason excel in their many school and sports activities. He was actively involved in teaching Aubrey and Mason how to ski, wash cars, build things, golf, and drive. The last several years he began coaching basketball, and he taught the importance of practicing the fundamentals. Randy's competitive spirit would win at almost any game he would play. He truly had a winning attitude and never complained about difficult challenges that came his way. He was always present in what he was doing and loved his family beyond measure. No matter what he endured, he put his wife and family first. Because of his love, Randy was loved by so many.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife Heather (Luhring) Roshek, daughter Aubrey Roshek, son Mason Roshek, parents Rodney and Rosie Roshek, brother Ryan (Melissa) Roshek, father and mother-in-law Marvin and Carol Luhring, sister-in-law Michelle (Tyson) Jacobi, brother-in-law Kevin (Amber) Luhring. Nieces: Rowan and Haleigh; Nephews: Reece, Owen, Lincoln, and Karsten; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Randy is preceded in death by his grandparents.
A Visitation for Randy will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 4:00-8:00pm with a 12:00pm Funeral Service on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Hutchens Stygar Funeral Home, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St Charles, MO 63304.
